General Description | |
Start out a gold mining town, add healing hot springs, then top that with Americas first destination ski resort and you have a magic combination. Even Ernest Hemingway fell in love with and moved to Sun Valley where he completed -For Whom the Bell Tolls-, writing in the morning and hunting and fishing in the afternoon. This icon of U.S. ski resorts was the first in the world to build a chairlift, opened the first ski school in the world and can match any community in the world for the number of citizens who have competed in the Olympics.
