Built between 1830 and 1870, Rancho De La Osa is one of the last great Spanish haciendas still standing in America. The history of the ranch has been lovingly preserved in the beautiful buildings that rest in the rolling grasslands of the high Sonoran Desert. The 18 guest rooms are uniquely and vibrantly furnished with Mexican antiques. All rooms are ground level with separate entrances and private bathrooms, and most rooms have wood-burning fireplaces. All guest rooms are a short walk to the pool, hot tub, hacienda, hiking trails and corrals. The innovative Southwest cuisine is a blend of Spanish, Mexican, and Native American influences, with meals served in the historic hacienda dining room, the courtyard patio, or a cookout site under the stars. Guests can enjoy scenic trail rides, riding lessons, hiking, biking, nature walks and bird watching during their stay. The ranch is an ideal location for corporate retreats, family gatherings, elopements, or small destination weddings.
In April, 2010, the ranch was included in National Geographic Travelers list of 129 Hotels We Love. The ranch has also been featured in Forbes Traveler, Hip Hotels, Architectural Digest, Bon Appetit, and Arizona Highways in recent years.
