The hotel opened its doors in 2011 after a multimillion dollar renovation. The hotel became famous back in the 1980s when Calvin Klein filmed the advertisement for Obsession perfume featuring supermodel Kate Moss and shot by Bruce Weber on the famed rooftop terrace. After being closed for 5 years, it is now re-lounging the only completely re-done boutique hotel in the block. The rooms are more spacious than the typical South Beach room. There is also a business center.
The hotel is located in the legendary Ocean Drive, Breakwater. Visitors may wake up to spectacular sunrises over the Atlantic Ocean, dine in a different world at every meal and party with celebrities all night long. All rooms feature elegant bathrooms with rejuvenating rainforest showers, some double sinks, organic cosmetic products, king-size bed, some with full size sofa beds, foyer area, flat-screen TV, entertainment unit, mini bar, sitting area, writing desk, high speed internet access and iPod docking station. In addition the room features a fully stocked minibar and Keurig Espresso Machine. Average square footage is 400 sq. ft., maximum occupancy is 3 people.
There is a wellness garden with see- through pool, 24 hour gym, lounge, Oceanfront rooftop, beach sitting area and in-room Spa treatments.
A breakfast is served. The Nine Restaurant, located inside the lobby and Courtyard, offers award winning culinary selections from all around the world.
Exit airport and take exit 2 to Miami and Beaches. 112 east becomes 195 East. Take Alton Road exit. Make a left on 10th street then make a right on Ocean Drive and arrive to hotel.
There is a resort fee of $15 +13% not included. The resort fee includes 2 beach chairs and high speed internet. There is a valet parking fee per night with in/ out priviledges. |
