The Edwardian-style Glorietta Bay Inn is a mansion located across the street from historic Hotel Del Coronado and the beach and approximately nine miles from San Diego International Lindbergh Field Airport. Built in 1908 as the home of Sugar Baron John D Spreckels, many of the mansion's original fixtures remain, including chandeliers, sconces, ornate moldings, marble stairs, and brass banisters. In 1977, the mansion was designated a Coronado Historic Landmark by the Coronado Historical Association. Its location is seven miles from San Diego Zoo, eight miles from Seaport Village, 20 miles from Sea World, and 30 miles from Legoland. Hotel amenities include the heated swimming pool and Jacuzzi, 800-square-foot Mansion Music Room (with its 41-rank Aeolian Pipe Organ, player piano, guest library, board games, and free high-speed Internet access), complimentary continental breakfast, and afternoon lemonade and cookies. The hotel also offers babysitting, laundry facilities, valet laundry service, computer rentals, nightly turndown service in the mansion, 24-hour front desk service, and a concierge. All rooms feature refrigerators, coffeemakers, CD players, hairdryers, high speed internet access, dvd/vcr players, dvd rentals, safes, and air-conditioning. Mansion rooms feature triple-sheeted beds with 300-thread-count linens, feathered pillows, and down duvets, and have a unique decor with original light fixtures, antiques and artwork, and, where possible, original hardware and fixtures. Glorietta Bay Inn is a 100% non-smoking hotel and pets are not permitted. Parking is available on-site for $10/night. Rates are based on double occupancy.
