 “Gamla Skolan" B&B is a new established B&B that is open all the year round. Translated Gamla skolan means Old School, it functioned as school for kids in the country side up to the sixties. We have 3 double rooms and one house across the courtyard with place for 6-8 persons.
Your stay at "Gamla Skolan" will be filled with nature experience in the countryside where every season has it´s own beauty. Here you can discover lot of history and a rich living local culture life.
It is close to the nature and tourist attractions as well as the city Karlstad with shopping and restaurants. There are also a number of recreational activities close by.
In the area is a number of roads for biking tours or nice walks. We also have a boat in one of the lakes close by and there is a motor for rent. You can find both berry and mushrooms in the woods around the house.
We use "green" electricity from Telge (extracted from water and wind power plants). The heating of the house is done by wood pellets. We try as much as possible to use local produced groceries and environmentally-friendly products.
There is non-smoking indoor, animals are not allowed in the bedrooms.
We who live here at "Gamla Skolan" is Joshua and Monika together with our daughter Klara and our two cats Smille and Sixteen. We also have one or more rabbits here.
