General Description | |
Hotel Principe da Beira was built in 2004 on the ruins of Fundao's 19th-century Seminary, which was restored along modern lines inspired by local tradition. Many great names from the arts and science fields studied at the Seminary and were inspired by it. They include Hermano Saraiva, Jose Hermano Saraiva and Virgilio Ferreira. We invite you to get to know the sophisticated, modern decor inspired by the surrounding mountains and based on a very original concept that incorporates the various levels of both mountains. Ground floor - 500 metres level, the atmosphere is dominated by the ruddy tones and soil of the cherry orchards. On this floor you can find the "A Cereja" (The Cherry) restaurant, and the "Terra" (Earth) cafe, the lounge, meeting rooms and banquet hall. Floors 1 and 2 - 1000 metres level, we find the green and brown hues inspired by the Serra da Gardunha woods that surround the hotel. On this floor you can choose between the standard rooms and the suites with a scenic view. Floor 3 - 1500 metres level, this floor is completely inspired by the blues and whites of the Serra da Estrela snows. This floor is home to the Altitude Club, suites with a scenic view and standard rooms. This description is based on information provided by the hotel. | |
