Residencial Pica Pau is situated in a residential area close to the former mansions of the exiled King of Spain and the exiled King of Romania. Pension Pica-Pau is built in typical Portuguese style, decorated throughout with traditional Portuguese tiles and on its facade with hand-painted tiles.
All the 35 bedrooms are fitted with double glazing and comprise of a bathroom with a bath and a shower. There is also a telephone, cable TV, and safe (free) in each room as standard. Some of the rooms also have a small balcony.
The Pica-Pau restaurant is well known in the area for its grilled specialities, especially its chicken piri-piri, and is a popular venue for locals. There is also a separate lounge bar with cable tv for pre-dinner drinks and a place where guests can relax after a busy day.
