This house belonged to the great grandfather of the present owner, not sure about the year of its construction, but above the lintel of the entry in the first floor, is graved the date of 1810.
The architectonic group was formed by one main building with three floors, two as dwelling-house and the ground-floor with two “lojas” for animals. This was typical of the traditional houses in the region. Besides the main building, there existed a wine mill and a building where the straw was kept.
The house was rebuilt maintaining its original plan and using, whenever it was possible, the same type of materials (wood and stone), combined with more up to date architectural materials and objects.
