 The Gatehouse is located 15 minutes from the Ferry terminal, and 15-20 minutes from the CBD. There are restaurants within 10 minutes drive, so we recommend that guests have a rental car during their stay.
The Gatehouse was established in 2001 after a major renovation to a 1929 property in Wellington's most exclusive bay. Our primary objective in the renovations was to provide unique self-contained accommodation with superb attention to detail, and once completed, to provide our guests with a unique experience and ensure a memorable stay.
Upstairs the super-king/twin bedroom with crisp cotton bed linen, television, phone and fresh flowers, overlooks the parterre garden and opens onto a balcony. Downstairs the spacious lounge includes a sofa bed for extra guests, while the fully equipped kitchen enables self-catering. A full breakfast is served in The Gatehouse apartment at a time to suit guests.
Late last year the pool was completed and we have added a beautiful dining room beside the pool if guests wish to dine there for breakfast or dinner instead.
