 The Golden Tulip Leiden is centrally located close to the railway station and a 5 minute walk from the shopping area of Leiden.
This is a very pleasant, small hotel in an excellent location as it is only a short train or car journey from Amsterdam.
The exterior is very modern and distinctive as the whole of the outside of the building is covered in mirrored glass and has a bright yellow canopy over the entrance of the hotel.
The lobby/reception area is small but very welcoming with friendly staff. There is limited seating available but, although there is a bar/lounge area just off the lobby where one can sit.
The restaurant is located on the ground floor and serves breakfast and light snacks. It has wicker furniture and attractive ceiling fans which evoke a slight Mediterranean feel.
The size of the bedrooms vary although they are all medium sized. They are decorated quite femininely with flowers and pale colours. The quality of most of the bedrooms is good as are the bathrooms.
