The Hotel Chichen Itza is located in downtown Piste, a very colorful and typical Yucatan town less than a mile from the main entrance to the archaeological park of Chichen Itza. At the main square there is a beautiful XVI Century Franciscan Chapel. Hotel's privileged location allows our guests not only visit the archaeological site, but to get in touch with the locals as well. Horseback riding
Come and discover one of the most interesting and hidden tropical zones near Mayaland. This area was the formerly camping area of the American Archaeologist Edward Herbert Thompson who dredged the Sacred Cenote of Chichen Itza from 1904 to 1910. This Tropical Forest area is called The Thompson Rehollada where ancient Mayan water collectors are visible and can be appreciated when you explore the Well during the tour. Native flora and fauna are also appreciated. Tour length: 1:30 minutes. Tour leaves every day from the front desk at The Lodge at Chichen Itza. Reservations can be made at the Concierge area.
