Situated within the walled Medina of Marrakech and in close proximity to Djemma El Fna square and the Koutoubia the Palais Sebban is a truly remarkable property which was once 4 separate private dwellings. The new owners have lovingly restored the hotel over 4 years protecting many of the original features.
As this was once 4 homes you will notice the different styles of decor and architecture as you stroll through the building. Guests can chose from 3 room types Prestige, Deluxe or Suites. No two rooms are the same and the rooms will be allocated subject to availability by the hotel management. Guests can request a particular room by name but this would not be guaranteed.
The suites offered are The Erfoud Suite located between Patio Sebban and the Swimming pool, this Suite has a ceiling from the Glaoui period with a large and original bathroom. The Mogador Suite has lights filtered by the moucharabiehs and the blue colours Mogador for this suite with a view of the swimming pool. The prestige rooms are the Oudayas, a small with a Zouaque ceiling in sharp and cordial colours.
The Dades or Koutoubia have intricate decor and situated in one of the oldest parts of the Palais Sebban. The Zagora has a typical and authentic Moroccan decor, this is a large room tiled with Zelliges dating from last century and is incredibly well restored. The Deluxe rooms are the Oualidia and Imlchil which have cool Moroccan floors and delightful glassworks adorn these rooms. The Palais Sebban offers light continental breakfasts to its customers served in one of the salons or on the terrace.
Guests can also sample some typical Moroccan dishes and Moroccan/French fusion cuisine. The hotel chef can prepare you typical couscous and mouth-watering tagines and also bookings can be made on arrival for groups to his kitchen to learn how these fabulous meals are created. This Riad offers a family style service and also has a small plunge pool for guests to cool off after a heavy days bartering in the Souks! |
