 Sitting directly on Bamburi Beach, Whitesands Resort is located north of Mombasa city and 25 km from Mombasa Airport.
One of the best resorts in Kenya with an excellent reputation and 200 metres of beautiful beach front, the longest seafront on the north coast of Mombasa. The resort is set amongst 22 acres of tropical gardens, swaying palm trees and swimming pools. The main outdoor swimming pool is huge and stretches out into different directions with shallow parts suitable for children. There is a water sports shop and office where guests can organise snorkelling and scuba diving. A children's club is available as is a baby sitting service. A variety of entertainment is on show every night. There are a number of sunbathing areas on the beach and around the resort - drinks and snacks can be ordered by the pool. A beach front property, the resort is spread out over 22 acres of landscaped gardens. Three storeys high in some accommodation blocks, the buildings are painted bright white with many of the blocks right on the sand beaches.
Room types with (HB) in the title are Half Board and offer breakfast and dinner. Room types with (AI) in the title are All Inclusive and offer breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Standard rooms are in good condition and have tiled floors and en-suite bathrooms. All rooms have air-conditioning, satellite TV, telephone, fan, tea/ coffee making facilities and balcony or terrace. Most rooms offer a pool view. Room rates are on an all-inclusive basis.
The large lobby is open plan and has a marble floor and a seating area for guests. The reception desk is to the left as you enter and to the right is a shop, concierge desk, and local information board.
There are three restaurants at the resort. The large main restaurant offers a huge buffet with a wide variety of food to choose from. There is also a beach front restaurant that specialises in fresh seafood as well as a cafe/diner that serves food 24 hours a day.
