In autumn 10 years ago we decided to dedicate a particularly windy day to the research of a farmhouse in the countryside between Pienza and Montepulciano. Only after quite a long time strolling around we stopped in front of Pratovecchio: a beautiful Leopoldian building of the 19th century, but quite shabby-looking. The renovation took a long time and was quite demanding, but in the end we managed to maintain the rural patina of the house, making it become liveable at the same time. Only during the renovation we noticed that the house would have been much too big for us. That's why we decided to transform it into an Agriturismo, putting into practise the old wording opening the doors to guests. Who comes to stay with us is welcomed with family spirit and heartiness. The products of our vegetable garden and orchard with their antique species are strictly organic. The aromatic herbs fill the air around the pool and silence is the only daily noise.
