The 53 Mediterranean-style guestrooms in the Vello D'Oro Hotel feature whitewashed walls and ceramic tiled floors. The furnishings are of wood and marble. All rooms are air-conditioned. Each room has satellite television, a direct-dial telephone, and private bathroom with double sinks, a bidet and a shower. Some of the rooms have balconies or terraces with sea views.
The Vello D'Oro Hotel used to be a school for ceramics, and when it was converted into a hotel in the 1950s, much of the ceramic work was retained as part of the decor. There is a roof-top terrace, complete with deck chairs and umbrellas, and views of Mediterranean Sea and Mount Etna. There is a bar/lounge and an onsite restaurant. Parking space is limited and a fee applies. |
