“La Casa del Capitano” is a striking apartment located in the heart of Rome with a unique view onto the ancient Barberini Square. From the house you can admire the Tritone Fountain, a work by Gian Lorenzo Berninii. The Fountain, a superb example of roman baroque, that dates back to the XV century and was commissioned by Pope Urbano VIII. On one side of the square you can access the Via Veneto, a famous symbol of the roman ‘dolce vita’ and a gateway to Villa Borghese, the most popular and loved park of the city. Walking through this beautiful street you will find historic cafes’, elegant shops and restaurants. This is just one of the itineraries, that you will be able to take from Piazza Barberini, and that I’ll be able to recommend to you upon your arrival in our home. All the most magnificent pieces of arts and shopping arteries of the city are easily reachable by foot. In our house, you’ll find a warm and cosy atmosphere and you’ll immediately soak up some history. This B&B in fact gets it’s name from the captain of the Guards of the Barberini, who once lived in the apartment.
