Artimino is well-known for the Medici-Villa La Ferdinanda. The village is nestling among the beautiful tuscan hills, in the wine-growing area Vino di Carmignano, an area that already Cosimo de Medici appreciated. The town of Carmignano is in the North, and the Arno river to the South, Florence is to the East and Montalbano to the West. The vinyards planted on the South facing hills now cover an area of over 80 hectars, and the variety is typically local, plus older stumps like Mammolo, Occhio di Pernice and Cabernet, which add grace, scent and personality to the produce. In the village itself is located the characteristical Enoteca Cantina del Redi, situated within the centuries old castle walls, where one can taste the farm products with delicious snacks and wine. Another suggestive restaurant of Artimino is the Salone di Bacco.
