1) About Bandhavgarh: Situated in the Central Indian State of Madhya Pardesh it is a 448 Square Km renowned tiger reserve. Nestled among the Vindhya Hills and tropical forests it is one of Indias most beautiful national parks. The landscape features tropical forests, woodlands and steep rocky hills with flat grasslands in the valleys below. An ancient 2000 year old fort, 10th century statue of Lord Vishnu, and the dense Sal jungle combined with the grasslands make Bandhavgarh one of the most extraordinary parks in India. Bandhavgarh supports one of the highest densities of tigers on the subcontinent. The Park is also home to a large variety of mammals such as the leopard, chital (spotted deer), Sambar, nilgai, wild boar, chinkara, sloth bear, grey langur, jungle cat, hyena, porcupine, jackal, fox and wild dog. 2)About Mahua Kothi: The name Mahua Kothi draws its inspiration from one of Indias most beautiful trees, the Madhuca Indica, or as it is commonly known the Mahua or butter tree. The 12 charming cottages or Kutiyas are built on the 40 acre grounds of the renowned tented camp formerly known as Churhat Kothi. 3) Location: Mahua Kothi is conveniently situated near major airports: Khajuraho (270 Km), Jabalpur (275 km), Kanha tiger reserve (230 km). 4) The Taj Safaris Experience: As part of the exclusive wildlife experience our guests can enjoy twice a day jungle safaris in a specially designed open air safari vehicle with And Beyond trained naturalists, elephant safaris, guided nature walks, cultural walks, birdwatching and picnics in nearby wooded areas. 5) Children are welcome. Regretfully, children 5 years and younger cannot participate in the regular game drives. Childminders can be arranged at an additional cost.
