Dublin's Central Hotel is aptly named (as Central as you can get)!Established in 1887, designed by Richard Millar and William Symens of Kildare Street and built by Ross and Walpole. The entire hotel is made from reinforced cast iron which was a super structure with an outer skin and inner skin, which was unique in its day. Located in the heart of Dublin, the hotel has completed its room refurbishment in early 2008.Features include 70 rooms ensuite, direct dial telephone, flat screen colour television with 10 channels in all rooms, wifi in all public areas and most bedrooms. Our Refurbishment has seen the introduction of duvets, brand new bathrooms and new soft furnishings throughout. The hotel's restaurant, bars and private dining facilities make this an ideal location for the corporate traveller. Secure car parking at reduced nightly rates is available locally. The hotel is situated one block from Trinity College, the Book of Kells, Temple Bar, Grafton Street and Dublin Castle. We are also within walking distance of Saint Patricks Cathederal, ChristChurch, Grafton Street, home of the famous Bewley's Cafe, and Saint Stephens Green. Not too far away is The Guinness Hop Store and on the far side of the Liffey is The Jameson Distillery. We now operate a strict Non Smoking Policy throughout the hotel. | |
