The Hotel Issa is situated on the western part of the Vis cove, right next to the old walls of the ancient town of Issa. The town of Vis emerged around 397 B.C. Along with the Greeks, the Romans also had an important role in the development of the town, and the Roman spas and amphitheatres testify to their building prowess. All points of interest in the town of Issa are within walking distance of the hotel. The Hotel Issa is situated on the western part of the Vis cove, right next to the old walls of the ancient town of Issa and offers cosy rooms with sea or park view. In front of the hotel there is a parking place available free of charge for our guests and the pebbly beach is ideally suited for children. Near the hotel there is a crazy golf course and 100 meters away you can find a sports and recreation centre with 4 tennis courts, a volleyball court and a multi-purpose playground. Warm and dry summers, mild and humid winters are typical features of this Mediterranean island rich in flora and fauna. It is also known under the name Issa and is the oldest urban settlement in the Adriatic. From the airport take the shuttle to the port of Split, from where you can take a ferry to Vis. The ferry takes 2 hours from Split to Vis and runs 3 times a day. | |
