Avondale Guest House is a charming mid terraced Victorian home dating back to the late 19th century, which has been lovingly restored to maintain its individual character and warmth. The atmosphere is one of restful comfort and modern facilities. Owned and managed by Carole Kaleda, guests are made to feel very welcome. The rooms are individually decorated, warm, cosy and very comfortable, guests can enjoy some of the original features that remain a central theme to the interior of the house. An extensive breakfast menu, including vegetarian, continental and traditional choices using local freshly prepared ingredients is served in our comfortable dining room. We can also arrange champagne, flowers and chocolates for our guests, should they request it. For the convenience of our guests we will provide a free parking permit for your vehicle in an on road parking bay just a short walk from the house. Close to all of York's fabulous history, medieval walls and buildings, theatres and other attractions, such as the Minster, Jorvik Viking Museum, Castle Museum and the National Railway Museum. We are also just a short stroll from the race course for the annual calendar of race meetings and other events. Close to parks for lovely meanders along the river, with easy links to the trans pennine walkways. | |
