Centrally located right opposite the landmark Jubilee Clock Tower, it was originally a Georgian town house built around 1790. While having a quiet, relaxed atmosphere The Mayfair offers probably the best views of Weymouth Bay and it’s beautiful golden sands, with views of Dorset's World Heritage Jurassic Coastline beyond.
We are situated just a short level walk from the Town Centre, with a variety of modern and traditional restaurants. There are numerous pubs around the Town Centre and harbour area, ranging from the quiet local, to lively Karaoke and several with live music or entertainment. The Pavilion Theatre, is about 5 minutes walk along the Sea Front and regularly features a wide variety of top acts and popular entertainment. Next to The Pavilion is The Condor Ferry terminal, offering day trips to The Channel Islands and a service to the lovely historic French port of St Malo. Weymouth has a modern 9 screen cinema, 10 pin bowling, and many beautiful gardens to enjoy, or maybe just sit and relax a while. Just beyond the main shopping area is the picturesque old harbour and marina. Be sure to visit the interesting little shops and museum at Brewers Quay, and don’t forget Nothe Fort.
ust across the road from The Mayfair you will find soft sandy beaches, just right for sun bathing, or paddling in the warm safe waters of Weymouth Bay. There is a lovely long flat Promenade, for walks from the harbour, all the way to Bowleaze cove and beyond on the Jurassic Coastal path.
Weymouth supports many festivals and events which take place along the beach, such as live music, firework displays, international kite festival and many sporting events. All of this takes place just across the road from The Mayfair.
