Wayside House is a charming, extended, 17th century thatched cottage located in a rural setting on the ‘Macmillan Way’ walk between Bagborough and Triscombe on the southern face of the beautiful Quantock Hills. From the front gate walkers need to simply cross the road to reach the start of Rock Lane which leads to the highest point of the Quantock Hills. Accommodation consists of one double ‘The South Room’ with its own adjoining bathroom and one twin ‘The West Room’ with En-suite shower room and a third double room available by special arrangement. Facilities include televisions in each room, guest dining room and lounge. Tennis: We have a doubles tennis court and racquets are available at no charge to guests wishing to use the court. Cycling: We have Two adult and two child cycles which are available at a rate of £5.00 per bicycle per day. We also have a multi-bike cycle carrier and can transport up-to four guests to local rides, subject to satisfactory notice, at a cost of 40p per mile. Shooting: Wayside has a four gun cabinet for gun storage. We also have a Promatic trap which can be utilised by guests with prior arrangement with us. There is a charge of £7.50 per hour for using the trap and we can supply cartridges and clays at competitive rates but require advanced notice. | |
