Viner House is a Grade 2 Listed house 5 mins walk from Stroud town centre. Garden, Parking. Large rooms, triple ensuite, double and single room available. Welcome to our family house in a lovely lively town. Our home is welcoming, friendly, and has a lovely dog but cannot be guaranteed to be all tidy. Stroud is a delightful place to visit with many activities and attractions within close proximity. These include Award winning weekly farmers market, superb restaurants, annual textile, food, walking, music and art festivals. 7 mins walk from train station, Easy access to countryside. Cheltenham, Swindon and Gloucester are easy train journeys from Stroud. Spa days can be arranged for 30 pounds per day. The award-winning Farmers Market is weekly (Saturday) and is one of the best in the country. This is a place that repays investigation, especially for the quality and variety of artists at work in the area you could also choose to take part in one of the many traditional workshops!Stroud is encircled by five sweeping valleys opening out to the River Severn and made famous by Laurie Lees novel Cider with Rosie, the scenery is dramatic around Stroud. It is a great meeting place, with direct links to London, making it a Bohemian/cafe/gallery/ bookshop sort of place. Jasper Conran described the town as the Covent Garden of the Cotswolds.A traditional breakfast is served daily using local produce and Home made bread and preserves. Complimentary afternoon tea is offered by the Aga or in the garden. Willing gardeners can get free accomodation in return for gardening.
