General Description | |
You will be assured of a warm and friendly welcome at this 17th century beamed cottage which offers delightful accommodation and is situated just a few minutes walk from Stow Square. Built in 1640 it was originally an Ale House called The Cross Keys where the beer was brewed in the cellar. In 1660 a second cottage was built behind the original dwelling and quite recently a further extension was added, giving Cross Keys deceptively comfortable and spacious accommodation. On the ground floor you will find the breakfast room where a superb choice of breakfasts is served. There are also two lounge area for guests use - one with television and welcoming open log fires to keep you cosy on winter evenings. Cross Keys is awarded Three Diamond Status by the Heart of England Tourist Board and is privileged to be included in the U.S.A.'s Frommers Guide with a star rating and Rick Steve 2010/11 | |
