The owners, Jim and Josie Dean, moved to Southampton from Poole, to take over Hunters Lodge in November 2001 after having careers in the Banking and Insurance industries. Hunters Lodge is conveniently situated for Southampton City Centre which means all the sights and attractions are only a short distance away including the Guild Hall, Civic Centre, Mayflower Theatre, West Quay Shopping, including the new IKEA store, Leisureworld, Ocean Village Marina, Docks, Ferry Port, Cruise Terminals, University, General Hospital SO16 6YD, National Oceanography Centre, Royal South Hants and Spire Southampton (formerly the Chealybeate BUPA) Hospitals. There is a spacious dining room and a lounge with a licensed residents bar. Our lounge and bar area creates a warm and friendly atmosphere for you to enjoy a drink, view television or just simply relax with a good book. We also have free WiFi internet connection throughout and a free dedicated broadband internet connection with PC, desk, printer and scanner sited in the lounge area for our guests use. All our rooms are well appointed, all ensuite and non-smoking and the tariff is inclusive of full English breakfast and all local taxes (UK vat @17.5%). Please note however that between the dates of 10th December 2010 until 2nd March 2011 we will only be able to provide a continental style breakfast option and the tariff has been adjusted accordingly to reflect this. We have ample free car parking at the front and rear of Hunters Lodge with a garage available bicycles and motorcycles.
