Built in 1596 just off the Pennine Way, this beautiful Manor House later served as a working farm, and now a guest house in the small valley of Stone Head near Lothersdale and Cowling. Stone Head House is one of are only a handful of properties in the hidden valley of Stone Head Nr. Lothersdale, all of similar age. Every effort has been made by the owner to restore Stone Head House in an appropriate way. The whole of the downstairs has Flagged floors. Breakfast is cooked on the Aga in the quaint farmhouse kitchen then served in the dining hall with its enormous inglenook fireplace, a feature which Stone Head House is well known in the area around Lothersdale.
