Oak River Holiday Homes comprises two properties; Oak River Cottage which is sub-divided into 2 private apartments, and a recently restored 3-storey,Grade 2 listed structure known as the 'The Old Cart Shed'. They are located in a placid setting on the banks of the River Derwent on the edge of the historic sword making town of Shotley Bridge in County Durham. The properties can accommodate from 4 - 6 people and are furnished to a very high, comfortable standard. They are located within 2 minutes walking distance of local shops and amenites (including 2 pubs) but only 10 minutes away from the beautiful North Pennines, an area accorded a place of Outstanding Natural Beauty by the British Tourist Authority. Oak River Cottage is a South facing property comprising two 2-bedroom apartments which can comfortably accommodate 4 and 6 persons respectively.
