Awarded 3 stars as an Inn by the AA in August 2010, the old mill provides traditional comfortable en suite non smoking accommodation with river, mill pond or garden views. All rooms have Freeview flat screen TV, which can be used to play CDDVD and also as a PC monitor for using the internet. All rooms have free wireless access for guests preferring to use their own laptop. Free on site parking is available just 30 meters from the door. A La Carte Breakfast is included in the price, which is served in our restaurant, also awarded an AA dining award in August 2010. The restaurant is situated in the oldest purpose built paper mill in the country rebuilt during the 15th century with foundations dating back to the 12th century. The river Nadder can be seen as it passes under the building through a viewing panel. The food is traditional EnglishEuropean and served between 12 and 2.30pm for lunch and 7-9pm for dinner. (8.30pm Sunday's). The old mill offers a public bar serving Cask Marque approved beers as well as a full range of wines and spirits. Food is also served in the bar and garden from 12pm until 9pm (8.30 Sundays). The Old Mill is situated just to the south of Salisbury, just a 10 minute walk to the centre of town or twenty minutes to the cathedral. The walk takes you through the Harnham water meadows where Constable painted his picture of the Cathedral. | |
