Four Wingates is set in the lovely hamlet of Wingates 6 miles South of Rothbury and 4 miles West of Longhorsley. The cottage, built in 1850, is set within a quarter acre garden with woodland behind. The accommodation is spacious, but kept in a style appropriate for the age of the cottage, There are glorious views over the countryside. You can step out of the door into beautiful walking country. Birds, red squirrels, deer and wildlife abound. This peaceful countryside area is exceptionally good for walking, cycling, fishing and wild-life spotting. There are lots of Northumbrian attractions within easy distance and also large cities. n the cottage there is a double and single bedroom, and a double bed-settee downstairs. There is so much for you to see and do, and explore in Northumberland, with many amenities on your door step, or a short drive away from the cottage. The picturesque village of Rothbury is just a few miles away and together with Alnwick and Morpeth have great shopping and sporting amenities. Newcastle -upon Tyne and Gateshead are 45 minutes away for museums, exhibitions, The Sage Music Centre and The Royal Theatre where you can catch Shakespeare or the Royal Opera visits.
