General Description | |
The Hunters' Inn has immense charm and character and holds pride of place in the stunning Heddon Valley, an ideal base from which to explore the wild beauty of Exmoor and the North Devon coastline. Situated in over four acres of landscaped gardens, bordered by the River Heddon, the Inn is just a one mile walk away from the sea at Haddon's Mouth and adjacent to one of the most impressive parts of the South West coast path. In addition there are many circular walks that allow you to appreciate the locality and its abundance of wildlife, including deer. The bedrooms are full of character and all have bath andor shower en suite. Some rooms have four-poster beds and two have balconies overlooking the garden. We accommodate well-behaved dogs in some of the bedrooms but they must to be kept on leads in public areas and are not allowed in the restaurantbreakfast room. The Bar, where a warm and friendly atmosphere prevails, is at the heart of the Inn. Food is fresh and locally sourced whenever possible, being turned into homemade dishes by creative chefs with vegetarians options and child-size portions always available. The Hunters Inn has been awarded North Devon CAMRA Pub of the Year 2009 which means a satisfying selection of real ales are always on offer, as well as a wide range of spirits particularly malts - and a varied wine list. | |
