St Annes is a listed late 17th century former wool merchants house in the heart of Painswick. A traditional English country home interior with antiques, a log fire and relaxed family atmosphere. We have three guest rooms (1 twin and 2 double) and are within easy walking distance of pubs and restaurants offering meals from the simple to the gourmet. St Annes is situated on the Cotswold Way long distance footpath and in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We especially welcome walkers, cyclists and all nature lovers. Pick ups/drop offs and luggage transfers can be arranged, clothes dried and picnics prepared. Take a stroll through the winding streets of Painswick and browse the quirky shops, antiques, fabrics, books, hand made clothes and jewellery, woodwork and much more. Explore the romantic Rococo gardens with acres of magical woodland, secret hideaways and great homemade cakes! Take a walk up to the prehistoric fort on the Painswick Beacon and look down over the river Severn and across to Wales. We provide a large, varied, wholesome breakfast with many locally sourced, organic ingredients. Dogs by arrangement only. Children of all ages welcome with travel cot and family room available.
