General Description | |
Situated in the pretty village of Woodditton on the Suffolk/Cambs border, the Lodge is only 3 miles from the racing centre of Newmarket, and a similar distance from the Rowley Mile racecourse, the July racecourse and thoroughbred sales at Tattersalls. The Lodge is a beautifully furnished Swedish log cabin standing in its own garden, open all year. The guesthouse has three bedrooms, all of which are en-suite with 26 inch LCD TV with Freeview, free wireless, tea/coffee facilities, and a minibar/refrigerator. All rooms have their own front door so guests may come and go as they please. As well as offering bed and breakfast for visitors to Newmarket, The Garden Lodge is convenient for the surrounding villages of Cheveley, Saxon Street, Dullingham, Stetchworth and Six Mile Bottom. Woodditton itself is a good centre for hikers and ramblers, as it is near the Icknield Way and at the eastern end of the Devil's Dyke. Further afield, the University city of Cambridge and the historic market town of Bury St Edmunds are only a 25 minute drive away. Other visitor attractions include the Imperial War Museum at Duxford and the cathedral city of Ely, both within half an hour by car. | |
