Moreton in Marsh is in the heart of the beautiful North Cotswolds, a twenty minute drive from William Shakespeares Stratford Upon Avon; ten minutes from Chipping Norton, Chipping Campden, Stow on The Wold, Upper and Lower Slaughter and Bourton on the Water. The cities of Cheltenham and Oxford are about forty five minutes drive, London and Heathrow Airport can be reached in less than two hours by car. Woodstock and Blenheim Palace are a short drive and Cirencester, the Roman heart of the Cotswolds on Fosseway is thirty minutes away. There is also a train service to Worcester to the west and London and Oxford to the east. Moreton in Marsh was the inspiration for the famous BBC radio and Radio Luxembourg show broadcast from 1944 to 1954, Much Binding in the Marsh which starred Kenneth Williams and Dickie Murdoch and even Alan Ladd on one occasion!One tariff all year round, please note that we cannot take credit or debit cards on site. The bathroom in apartment B also allows disabled access. Each apartment has a single bed and a double bed so can cater for three people. | |
