Middlewich boasts a superb Parish Church in the town centre, whose history dates back to Roman times. Middlewich is a key junction on the bustling waterway; here the Trent Mersey joins the Shropshire Union Canal. Today these Canals and rivers are still a major feature of the landscape around Middlewich and there are many walks that run alongside them.
