Monachyle Mhor is a small rural boutique hotel with a collection of very individual rooms each having its own character with contemporary twists and insightful touches added by the Lewis family - Monachyle has stayed true to its roots of a diverse family farm and brings amazing food from the land to the plate all in a unique relaxed atmosphere - The hotel is situated in the heart of the Trossachs National Park and offers stunning views on to the lochs and mountains - Chef Proprietor Tom Lewis provides modern cuisine using his own farm ingredients alongside selected local suppliers and guests can take advantage of his calendar of food demonstrations - His wife Lisa manages the local tea-room - his brother manages Mhor Bread and Mhor Fish in the nearby town of Callander and their sister Melanie - a successful artist and photographer - styles all the businesses - There are three styles of room to choose from - Feature Rooms offer additional extras for guests - from slipper baths to steam rooms to loch views - perfect for total relaxation and special occasions - Courtyard Rooms were converted from the stables and mills of the original farm and - whilst being adjacent to the main house - offer complete privacy and seclusion - Most have stove fires and seating areas - House Rooms within the original farmhouse have been sympathetically refurbished and extended - Many have vaulted ceilings and stunning loch views and all are cosy and comfortable | |
