The Swan is owned by local organic beef farmers Mary and Bernard Harris. The menus for the hotel restaurant and bar food feature organic produce. Vincenzo has brought an italian flavour to the menu with several classic dishes, as well as beef from the farm. Our famous range of sausages are on sale in the farm shop attached to the Swan Inn. Situated in the heart of England, near Newbury and Hungerford, the Inn is ideal as a base to visit many places of great interest including Stonehenge, Donnington Castle and the Kennet and Avon Canal. The historic Wayfarers Way starts nearby. Walbury Iron Age Hill Fort, next to Combe Gibbet, is the highest point in Southern England at 984ft and is within a mile of the Swan Inn. The Inkpen recreational walk takes you past all those landmarks. It is also the ideal place to stay if you are going to Newbury race course or visiting Lambourn stables.
