The A143, A1307 and A11 offer excellent transport links to the surrounding areas. In addition to this, the M11 is only 18 miles away. The Plough is well placed for visiting many of East Anglia's best known beauty spots and historic towns. These include Bury St. Edmunds, Long Melford, Sudbury and Lavenham. Visit the antique shops of Ely, famous race course and National Horse Racing Museum at Newmarket and the historic buildings of the university city of Cambridge. You can also enjoy country walks in the tranquility of the Suffolk countryside. From London: - Leave the M11 at junction 9 and follow the A11 onto the A1307 signposted Haverhill. - Turn right for Haverhill, then left onto the A143 for Bury St. Edmunds. - After approximately 2.5 miles turn right for Kedington and follow signs for Clare. - The plough is at the top of the hill.
