General Description | |
Being a small family run business we can provide those little personal touches that larger concerns have a tendency to forget helping to make your stay an even more enjoyable experience. Bellingham is officially known as the Gateway to Northumberland National Park, but is affectionately known as Middle-Diddle due to its central location making it an ideal place to stay with East West Coasts being less than 1 hour away as are the Lakes, Hadrian's Wall and Scotland, with Edinburgh being within reach at well under 2 hours. More locally (9 Miles) is Kielder Forest Water a short drive away through some of the most scenic routes in Northumberland. Apart from the superb facilities and historic attractions offered by Bellingham the surrounding area has a vast amount of beautiful countryside with plenty of organised activities such as Outward Bound areas, Historical Railways, Shooting/Hunting, some of the best Salmon Fishing in the country, excellent 18 Hole Golf Course, Quad Bike riding, Horse Riding, Bike and Walking routes, and is home to Hareshaw Lynn Waterfall with the walk being one of outstanding beauty. A short walk away has all the facilities you would expect of a major town but on a smaller scale, and boasts 3 public houses, a supermarket open until late every day, numerous local shops providing everything from trinkets to shooting and fishing gear, post office, two banks, cash machines, regular monthly farmers market, fitness centre, swimming pool and much much more. Why not take a look at the local Tourist Information Map before your visit, you can even down load a free copy courtesy of Teamwork. UK and the local Trade Tourism Association. | |
