Welcome to the Coachman's and Stable Cottages, retaining the character and fabric of the original 19th Century stabling facilities whilst providing the comfort and convenience for a tranquil holiday in the unspoilt open tracts of Northumberland. We are situated 1/4 mile north of the village of Wark in the grounds surrounding the owner's Georgian Rectory. The village provides a post office/general store, a butcher three pubs and a doctor's surgery with dispensary. The cottages are surrounded by open countryside and share a small enclosed garden with garden furniture. There is ample parking under trees within the grounds. The perfect place to relax and unwind, listen to the birds and watch the sunset. Youll find we have excellent walking country and a good base from which to visit Kielder Water, Hadrian's Wall, Alnwick Castle Garden, and the Holy Island of Lindisfarne with views of Bamburgh Castle and miles of sandy beaches. Please Note: No smoking is permitted in the cottage (Smoking is allowed outside). No pets are permitted on the premises (Only Guide Dogs are allowed). Private parking within the grounds available.
