Cheristow Self Catering Holiday Cottages and B & B are equivalent to 5 star rating - for a relaxing long or short break in North Devon’s Hartland Peninsula, an area of outstanding natural beauty. Traditional breed cattle, sheep, pigs and poultry are home reared. The self-catering cottages have been converted from stone-built 18th century farm buildings to retain the lovely beamed ceilings. The cottages are quietly situated and excellently equipped. Amenities include central heating from 27th September to 2nd May (£25 per week during summer), log fires and barbeques, electric, linen and towels provided. The village of Hartland is within walking distance and offers a variety of shops, essential services and crafts. Ideally placed to visit many local beaches and attractions or for walking the South West Coastal Path. The sauna and spa provides a welcome end of day treat. Our holiday cottages are based in North Devon, near a town called Bideford. Converted from period stone barns these cottages form part of a Devon smallholding with superb views of the surrounding countryside and out to sea. Perfect for that 'get away from it all' break with car free walks in many directions. They are also an ideal base to visit the many attractions that North Devon and Cornwall have to offer. Pets are welcome and children love feeding the animals. Some cottages have open or wood burning fires. The surrounding area has a whole range of activities that caters for most peoples needs. Some of the activities in the surrounding area include: Surfing, Beaches, Golfing, Walking, Sailing, Cycling, Fishing, Bird Watching and many more. There is an activity for everyone.
