Visitors to the Scole Inn Hotel will be sharing in the company of both kings and thieves, as this 17th century former coaching inn has provided lodgings for King Charles II and the highwayman John Belcher. Although there are fantastic fireplaces and a staircase that was hand-carved in the 1600s, the hotel has since modernised and offers guests a choice of 23 en-suite rooms with four-poster beds, 12 of which also have working open fireplaces. All rooms are comfortable and equipped with modern facilities. The bar, boasts 2 magnificent fireplaces which are reputedly the largest in East Anglia, stock cask ales and a good selection of fine wines. The Waveney Suite is our main conference room and for larger day time conferences you could use the restaurant. tea and coffee stations, a large buffet menu, pastries and biscuits are available. A flip-chart, an LCD projector, a large screen, CD-player and DVD-player are also at your disposal. The Diss Golf Club and driving range is only 2 miles from the hotel.
