Converted from an old farmhouse to a hotel just after the second world war, Woodstock House is set in the heart of the magnificent South Downs and in the newly formed National Park,Charlton West Sussex. Woodstock House offers an ideal base for visiting the numerous attractions of the area, which include horse racing at Goodwood, The Goodwood Motor Racing Circuit and Aerodrome, Chichester Festival Theatre, The Weald and Downland Museum, West Dean Gardens, Petworth for its many antique shops, The National Trust Properties of Petworth House and Uppark and Midhurst for Polo and the historic castle ruins at Cowdray Park. The South Downs Way passes just behind the hotel making our bed and breakfast Guest House a great base for walking. Our accommodation comprises of 12 en-suite bedrooms with all modern amenities set around an attractive courtyard garden which was originally the farmyard, and where we now serve our residents complimentary afternoon tea on arrival in the summer. | |
