In October 2009 the hotel was not only awarded Four Star Status by the Northern Ireland Tourist Board becoming the first Four Star property on the Causeway Coast, but also 'Best Hotel' in Northern Ireland (under 75 bedrooms) by the Licensed and Catering News. The hotel completed its extension of 19 over sized bedrooms in May 2009, bringing the total to 41. The development incorporated a new reception hall, a 'Garden Room' extension to the restaurant, a new pation area, new residents garden and the hotel's car park has also been extended. The hotel excels in providing a relaxing environment for couples, a small group of friends and very often a golfing party.
