General Description | |
Old Stationhouse offers a relaxed, friendly and peaceful place to stay, an easy 10 minute stroll from the many shops, pubs and restaurants in the beautiful Cotswold village of Broadway. The house was built in the early 1900s and was originally the home of the station master for Broadway railway station. The line has gone, but the track bed remains as a haven for wildlife and a popular path for walkers. Old Stationhouse has a delightful garden, sunny terrace and a comfortable guest lounge with an open fire. Guests are warmly invited to enjoy them all. All the rooms are ensuite and as well as the usuals (TV, hairdryer, kettle etc), each room has its own minifridge. Old Stationhouse is not licensed but why not bring your own and enjoy a chilled glass of wine before eating out in Broadway, or simply use it for the fresh milk we'll happily supply for your tea and coffee. Breakfasts are plentiful and varied and we use local and free range ingredients wherever possible. Choose a full English or a wimpy lighter option. Walkers and cyclists are very welcome and drying facilities are available for guest use. There is plenty of parking for cars and a locked garage for those on two wheels. Internet access and wifi availableBroadway is an excellent base for touring the area, being only 25 minutes from Cheltenham and Shakespeare's Stratford and is also on the Cotswold Way. | |
