The house sits in a superbly elevated rural position on the most southerly chalk ridge in Wiltshire, with commanding views of perhaps 1000 sq miles of Southern England, from the Isle of Wight and the New Forest to Purbeck. Lodge Farmhouse is conveniently placed for visiting Salisbury Cathedral, Stonehenge, Wilton House, Old Sarum and many National Trust properties, such as Stourhead, Mompesson House, Philipp's House and Kingston Lacy. With three nature reserves within comfortable walking distance and archaeological sites at every turn there is interest here for everyone. Your hosts, Janet and Michael Roe will take great effort to provide you with comfortable bedrooms, a cheerful service and a delicious breakfast that will set you up for whatever you choose to do in this captivating and unspoiled part of Wessex.
