Caroline House is a 19th Century house situated only minutes from a sandy beach and River Tweed. It offers 3 star accommodation in the conservation fishing village of Spittal, one mile from the town centre of Berwick-upon-Tweed. An ideal base for exploring Bamburgh, Holy Island, Farne Islands and the Scottish Borders. The coastline of Spittal and the Tweed estuary is designated as an area of outstanding beauty. Feeling active? Cycle the 'Coast and Castles' route, we are on the National Cycle Route, or take a more leisurely stroll along our splendid coastal walks. Explore the stunning Elizabethan walls of Berwick - dating back to 1558, Berwick walls are the best preserved walled defences in Europe. Caroline House offers spacious accommodation in a peaceful seaside setting. We have a double room with en-suite facilities and a twin/double or triple room with private bathroom. Families have the option of using Room 3 in combination with Room 1; Room 3 accommodates 4 or 5 persons and Room 1 has two single beds. Each room is equipped with free broadband, tea/coffee making equipment, satellite TV, radio and hairdryer. Ironing faclities are available. WiFi access in all rooms.
