We are a 42-bedroom, 3 star hotel in the Scottish Highland. We are 11-miles from Fort William, 7-miles from Glencoe, 3-miles from Ballachulish and 17-miles from Oban which means we can take coach and FIT (Individual) bookings for both Oban and Fort William area. In 2008 we have totally refurbished the hotel which costs around £ 195,373.40. We have added 12-new bedrooms, new office and reception, new carpets and paints to all the bedrooms including new pictures. We have also totally re-done the garden which is almost 5.5 acres and we have installed 9-crystal chandelliers. Great Scottish Novelist Robert Louise Stevenson's novel "Kidnapped" is our James Stewart of the Stewart Hotel. The Harry Porter Film Crew has stayed in this hotel for the last 3-years in fliming around Glencoe and the Bollywood Film Crew of "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai" has stayed in this hotel for six weeks. We have received planning permission to build 140-seater restaurant and 4, 4-poster bedrooms on the top that way wedding reception can be arranged and building a new road block. We are waiting planning permission for (a) Swimming Pool, Sauna, Gymn and Jacuzzi bath, (b) Gift Shop, (c) 66-more bedrooms with 2-passenger lifts. | |
