General Description | |
We have undergone a minor refurbishment in the restaurant to create a relaxed and comfortable environment that is modern and contemporary. Our menus are based upon food that is uncompromisingly fresh, cooked from scratch with passion and using locally sourced produce. We have a daily specials board with an average of 5 starters and 5 mains. Our dessert board changes regularly and Thomasz, our wonderful chef uses this as an opportunity to be extremely creative!!.Our four Bed Breakfast rooms have also been upgraded whilst retaining their character and charm. We have created a cosy bar area in front of the open fire where we welcome you to have a glass of bubbly, share a bottle of wine with friends, or go through to the restaurant and push the boat out. We also have a lighter lunch menu so you are very welcome to come in and have a quick snack or a light lunch. Whether you are visiting Abingdon on business and need a room for the night, meeting a friend for lunch, fancy a glass of wine after work or have a big social event to organise, Louise and I will be here to look after you. The Oxfordshire town of Abingdon is situated on the west bank of the River Thames, seven miles downstream of Oxford. Abingdon is an historic market town and recent excavations have established that the town is the oldest continuously inhabited settlement in England. | |
