The bed and breakfast "Le Roc sur l'Orbieu" is installed in a part of a medieval castle, in the Corbieres. This site has been during the Crusades against the Cathars. Military architecture has be changed over the centuries by the villagers who have invested the castle to live inside, then abandoned to ruin. I restored it and kept structures such as I found in the ruins. You will find peace and quiet, and you will reach around to visit the Cathar castles, abbeys, enjoy the sea or trekking on foot or by bike. The return of those beautiful days in the summer, you will find small gardens, terraces and small swimming pool with a swim against the current, or bathing basins of the river Orbieu. In winter, the fireplace and wood fire await you for a fun evening, drinking good Corbieres wine and enjoy dinner, seasonal dishes that I prepare myself.
